The Two Fatalities Identified in the Providence Campus Attack as Authorities Press On With Hunt for Perpetrator.

Tributes for Ella Cook

Authorities said on Sunday evening that a man aged 24 arrested in a search at a lodging about approximately 17 miles from the scene earlier in the day was released from custody.

“A perpetrator remains free,” declared the state's top prosecutor, Peter Neronha.

He added, “Sometimes you head in one direction, and then you have to regroup and head another way, and this is precisely what occurred over the last 24 hours or so.”
